I am piecing things together on this new project. I am excited and like how everything is fitting too. Visitors are starting to accumulate. I got some good reviews and very supportive feedback from others offering reviews. So, it is going. I have a lot of hours and reasoning behind this Website, and I am making improvements based on experience.
So, you see problems in similar working Websites. You carefully think about the weaknesses and strengths and an epiphany occurs. Okay, maybe an epiphany is extreme, but you see the light. Here are the good and the bad and you design something that builds on the... Epiphany!
So here is the skinny on the fat idea. There are two common places to write online. For those who like to rant. One would be a blog, like this one, blogger. The other would be an Article Directory. What are the problems...
A blog is an individual or sole writer. This is very weak. If someone stumbles across my blog and likes what I write, her or she may return. Once in a while, lets see if Michael posted a new rant. However, when I am busy and there is no new food to feed the hunger for reading, my blog becomes dated... "Michael doesn't update enough.
Article Directories, they have plenty of content to read. It is not an individual, it is a community of writers. If Michael doesn't write today, someone else wrote. So what are the weaknesses? Article Directory's loose the personal touch. I, as a writer cannot say what I would like to say. I have to write in a way that appeases an editors review. I guess one could say, it is much less liberal than the trusty blog. Here we can right anything (Non-offensive of course).
Blogs give colorful editors to edit your work, allow pictures, videos, you name it, the blog has it. I can even customize my blog with a fancy background image making it completely personalized! The Article directory has no bells and whistles. Most of the writers threw their work together to get a link. I guess the caliber of writers changes.
So lets mix things up, add the Chocolate Syrup to the vanilla Ice Cream. Then lets try putting it together in a written display right there front an center on the New Website!
